Separate slide from the frame
Remove the barrel assembly
XDS: Using a pin punch or screwdriver – press down on black spacer located in the slide of your gun and press towards the muzzle.
XD/XDM/MOD2: Using a pin punch the same size of your firing pin – press inward on spring loaded firing pin.
Then, with your other hand – carefully remove the slide cover plate. Be Careful! Components are spring loaded.
Install Clipdraw replacement slide cover plate by pressing on white plastic insert at back end of slide (XDS) or pressing inward on spring loaded firing pin (XD/XDM/MOD2) while simultaneously inserting slide cover plate into position.
Mount the clip on either side using screws, washers and allen wrench provided.

If you know your gun like I do, this installs in less than a minute. I absolutely love this clipdraw I dont always wear a belt so being versatile and able to clip onto any clothing that is snug makes this item a must have. Also since it is not adding any bulk to the firearm it is very easy to conceal.

I’ve been using the clip draw for about 10yrs but the universal clip. I upgraded to the XD specific clip. Much better. Don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with the universal this is just better as it’s a little wider. I’m pleased.

I love mine! I don’t think I will ever be able to go
back to holster. The thing I like best about it is the fact that it’s super comfortable an allows me to conceal it well even in a snug fitting tshirt due to how the the gun sits.

I bought the Clip Draw for my M&P Shield and for me I felt it sat too low for my liking. Chris at ClipDraw was quick to offer a newer design that give you a spacer to raise the carry position and offered to send it for free to try out. If I liked it, keep it. As a way of saying thank you I bought another for a different sidearm which was delivered promptly. The install process for the newer ClipDraw was more than I wanted to do because if I didn’t like it I’d have to repeat the process to take it back off). Chris offered a complete refund no questions asked but offered up yet another option which is an adhesive mount that sticks the clip to the slide wherever you feel comfortable mounting it. He sent me two and just asked I send the previously purchased clips back after receiving them – Thank you for the trust Chris. Anyway, these use an amazingly strong adhesive which is on a thin rubber strip that doesn’t damage your slide and holds like nothing I’ve ever seen yet you can take it off if you want to re-adjust (it comes with extra adhesive strips). This new mount process takes all of about 1 minute to attach, requires no tools and the carry position is determined by you. Thanks ClipDraw, you guys ROCK!

I bought the right side clip for my XD45 ACP.
After placement at my right kidney I realized that I needed the left side clip in order to position the handle fwd making it most comfortable for me to draw. both fit great my only complaint would be with the left side draw.
If you want to remove the slide to clean your weapon. You will have to remove the clip from the left side of the slide every time because with the disassembly lever flipped up the clip makes contact with it as you use the slide fwd. Preventing you from removing the slide.

It is perfect, I clip it on the bottom 1/4 of my windshield on my side by side while riding around. Stays in place and easy to remove.I have it on all my xdm’s and a glock 42
